Don't count sheep. Studies show it makes you more awake.

In books people always drink warm milk to help themselves sleep. I think this sounds revolting, but maybe it works.

I used to listen to music to help myself sleep.

Or sometimes I'd just give up and go read a book or clean my room until I was so tired I couldn't stay awake.

If I can't get something off my mind I have to write it down or do something about it before I go to sleep.

Usually just laying on my stomach puts me out.

going to bed and closing your eyes usually helps :-P

Actually, when I had trouble sleeping I used some sleep aids to knock me out. Did it for about a week until my body got used to sleeping through the night. It helped alot, and Walgreens has some cheep, non-addictive ones.

Guaranteed Remedy:
Spend all of your extra time for a week or so working on my house and moving boxes and furniture from one location to the other in the freezing (literally) cold to the point of exhaustion.

So drinking is the answer to my problem? Maybe warm milk or relaxing tea, otherwise I'll pass.
