Not Yet

I almost felt like listening to Christmas music this morning. Until Thanksgiving rolls around, I will abstain. I ask everyone else to do the same.

And apparently my newest poll is the lamest yet. I'm not too surprised.

That's so funny. I really, really wanted to bake Christmas goodies this weekend...but of course that's ridiculous because it's barely even October.

I always get excited about the Holidays long before it's actually acceptable to celebrate them...and then by the time it is I'm sick of it all and I don't want anything to do with the Holidays at all. Also, I think I'm secretly angry at them for not being as exciting as when I was you know...six or seven.

Did someone tell you that your poll is lame or are you just assuming that because no one has voted yet. Because if it's because of people not voting (goodness, let's see how many times I can use the word "because" in a sentence!) I think you're being a bit impatient. Especially for someone who has not updated her blog in quuuuite some time. That's what.

Good gracious, my comment is practically a blog post.

I listen to Christmas music at any time of the year. Who said you can't listen to it in June, let alone October?

Also, Hooray for United Nations Day!

Melody, I share in your holiday sentiment. Feel free to make fall or Halloween cookies, though!

No one told me the poll was lame. It was a combination of me coming to this conclusion on my own and being impatient w/ no one voting at the time.

Ken, listening to Christmas music a little in the summer I can see. You've still got time for it to wear off so you're not sick of it when you should be starting to pull those cds out. But listening to it in the fall is too close. It's like eating dessert an hour before supper. It's all about the timing.

Emily, I fully support you waiting until Thanksgiving. I'm a purist... I don't want to see or hear anything Christmas-related until after Thanksgiving. Sadly, I seem to be very much in the minority these days...

Fall is such a great season, people should do more fall things... crunchy leaves, crisp air, apple cider, foods involving pumpkin... mmm...

Hmm, Halloween cookies....it's a thought.
