I saw The Dark Knight on Saturday. I only went because a group of friends were going, and I wanted to tag along. I had heard it was going to be dark, but I was surprised by how dark it was. I didn't like it so much, that I have expressed to multiple people my disdain.
But recently (I think it was yesterday) I started to have positive thoughts and feelings toward the movie. Yes, I think I actually like it. But I don't know if my opinions of the movie have changed or if what I'm choosing to remember about the movie has changed. Maybe I'm blocking out the darker moments and focusing in on the parts I found intriguing.

I want to watch it again. The first time I was mostly just shocked by how intense the whole thing was. I need to re-see it with a little more clarity as to what's going on this time.
My sisters and I used to watch movies over and over again to figure out/discuss everything that was happening. We watched Minority Report eight times in seven days when it came out on video.
I wonder if they've seen Dark Night yet...
The only movie I remember watching over and over again is Beauty and the Beast. I saved up for the VHS when I was in 3rd grade and then my brother and I watched it a bunch.
We watched everything over and over. We watched You've Got Mail almost every day for at least a year. One summer Bethy and I watched Newsies every day, another summer we watched Singing In The Rain every day, and another summer The Emporer's New Groove...every day.
When we like something we like it a lot.
I don't watch rewatch that many movies. My thing is cds. When I buy a cd I like, I listen to it over and over for a few months and then I get sick of it. Sometimes I'll start liking it again later, but I can't listen to it too much once I've saturated my brain with the tunes. So I don't buy cds anymore (unless it's a local band).
Let me pose you a question... Do you prefer Christian Bale from his singing and dancing Newsies days or his caped Batman days? (And why?)
I do the same thing with cds...except that after a few months (or weeks) or not listening to them, I like them again.
I think I like Christian Bale in everything...even when he played that freaky magician in the Prestige or when he played a Nazi sympathizer in Swing Kids (very depressing flick)- but of course I haven't seen him in say...American Psycho.
Mmm, you know what movie sucked? A Murder of Quality. Bale was in that and it may possibly be the lamest movie ever.
I need to see that movie again, too. It was really dark and really intense, though. Kinda surprising.
Oh, and Emily, I met your mom. I was thinking I'd look for her, but knew that since I didn't know her, that wouldn't happen. In any case, I sat down at the table nearest to the door for dinner and started talking and the person next to me was your mother.
Robin, yeah, my mom said she met you. It's funny how random it was.
